Hasnah binti Zakaria

Pn. Hasnah had been living with the pain and frustration of a non-healing wound on her leg for over five years. The wound was a result of varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency, conditions that cause poor blood circulation in the veins and can lead to the development of painful ulcers or open sores. For years, Pn. Hasnah sought help from various hospitals and clinics, but despite undergoing numerous treatments and procedures, the wound on her leg failed to heal. The persistent pain and the lack of progress in her recovery deeply affected her quality of life, limiting her ability to perform even basic daily tasks and causing emotional distress.

The constant struggle with her condition made Pn. Hasnah feel hopeless at times. Her days were filled with visits to doctors and clinics, but none of the treatments seemed to provide lasting relief. Over time, the wound became a source of constant concern and discomfort, making it difficult for her to enjoy a normal, active life. But despite the setbacks, Pn. Hasnah never gave up on finding a solution to her problem. She continued searching for the right care, and her perseverance eventually led her to CVSKL.

Upon consultation at CVSKL, Pn. Hasnah was referred to Dr. Tan Kia Lean, a highly skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon, known for his expertise in treating venous conditions. Dr. Tan and his dedicated team thoroughly examined Pn. Hasnah’s condition and developed a tailored treatment plan aimed at addressing both the root cause of her varicose veins and the chronic venous insufficiency that had been preventing her leg wound from healing.

With the guidance and support of Dr. Tan and his team, Pn. Hasnah underwent a series of procedures designed to improve her blood circulation and facilitate the healing of her leg wound. The procedures, which included advanced techniques in vascular surgery and endovenous treatments, provided immediate relief and began the process of repairing the damaged veins in her legs. Slowly but surely, the wound started to heal, and with each passing day, Pn. Hasnah began to regain her strength and independence.

Throughout her recovery, Pn. Hasnah has opened up about the emotional and physical toll her condition took on her life before finding the right care. She shared how the support from CVSKL, combined with the expertise of Dr. Tan and his team, gave her a renewed sense of hope. No longer burdened by the constant pain of an unhealed wound, Pn. Hasnah now enjoys greater mobility and has returned to doing the activities she once had to give up.

As part of CVSKL Foundation’s mission to provide essential medical care to those in need, we are honoured to have played a role in Pn. Hasnah’s treatment journey. Through the Foundation, she was able to access the medical interventions necessary for her recovery, ensuring that financial barriers did not stand in the way of her well-being.

Pn. Hasnah’s story is a testament to the power of persistence, the importance of finding the right care, and the profound impact that community support can have on someone’s health and quality of life. We are proud to have helped Pn. Hasnah regains control of her life and are committed to continuing our efforts to provide similar support to others in need.
