Dato’ Khodijah binti Abdullah

Qualifications:

International Tax Program with the Harvard Law School and Master in Public Administration with the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University

Relevant Experience:

Khodijah Abdullah served in the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service from 3 January 1983 to 5 November 2018, dedicating over 36 years to public service. She began her career at the Industries Division of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), focusing on implementing industrial development initiatives under key legislations like the Industrial Coordination Act 1975 and the Promotion of Investment Act 1986.

In April 1989, she joined the Ministry of Finance, where she specialized in formulating and implementing taxation policies, contributing to the National Budget, and evaluating applications for tax incentives to promote domestic and foreign investments. Her expertise in taxation policy and budget proposals became a critical asset in Malaysia’s economic planning.

Khodijah served on the boards of numerous statutory bodies and government-linked companies, including the Inland Revenue Board, Labuan Financial Services Authority, Malaysian Investment Development Authority, and Padiberas Nasional Berhad. She also chaired audit committees for several of these organizations.

Her career included international engagements and training with institutions such as the World Bank, ASEAN, OECD, and the European Union. She developed deep expertise in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and negotiating international trade and taxation agreements. Notably, she led negotiations on Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements, Tax Information Exchange Agreements, Free Trade Agreements, and other critical economic frameworks.

Post-retirement, she was a member of the Ministry of Finance’s Tax Reform Committee (2019–2020) and currently serves as a director/trustee for the CVSKL Foundation and the Malaysian Tax Research Foundation. Since August 2022, she has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Muhibbah Engineering Berhad.

Datuk Azzat bin Kamaludin

Qualifications:

Degrees in Law & International Law, University of Cambridge

Relevant Experience:

Datuk Azzat is a lawyer by profession and a partner of the law firm of Fahri, Azzat, and Co. Admitted as advocate and solicitor of High Court of Malaya in 1979 after having served as an administrative and diplomatic officer with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia from 1970 to 1979 in various capacities.

In his long years of being in the industry, he served as the Chairman of edotco Group, Chairman of Dialog, Board Member of Axiata, and held many other prestigious positions.

Mr. Voon Seng Chuan

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, University of Malaya

Relevant Experience:

Mr. Voon Seng Chuan, up till June 2024, was the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of AmBank (M) Bhd. He was also on the board of AMMB Holdings Bhd and Mesiniaga Bhd.

He has been part of the Information Technology (“IT”) industry for about three decades. He was the Managing Director at IBM Malaysia and IBM Brunei, as well as Director for Mid Market and Vice President for Business Partners at IBM Asia Pacific.

In his 27 years of service with IBM, he has delivered all aspects of IT products and services for clients in all industry segments in the Asia Pacific region. In 2013, he was recognised with the “Outsourcing Leader of the Year” award and he was a Council Member of PIKOM (National ICT Association of Malaysia) from 1994/1995 and 1999/2000.

DATUK DR. ROSLI BIN MOHD ALI

Qualifications:

Fellow of Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology
Fellow of National Heart Association of Malaysia
Fellow of ASEAN College of Cardiology
Member of Academy Medicine of Malaysia

Relevant Experience:

Datuk Dr. Rosli Mohd Ali graduated from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1986 and attained an MRCP fellowship from the United Kingdom in 1995. He then completed his cardiology fellowship in Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) and is currently a Consultant Cardiologist at Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur.

He is currently a fellow of 5 other international cardiology societies, the course director for AsiaPCR and plays an important role in advancing interventional cardiovascular medicine in the region. His achievements include being an organizing chairman in various cardiology workshops and was recently awarded the prestigious Chien Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to interventional cardiology.

Dato' Dr. Sharifah Suraya Syed Mohd Tahir

Qualifications:

Master of Medicine ( Anaesthesia) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Fellowship at Faculty of Anaesthetists from Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland

Relevant Experience:

Dato Dr Sharifah obtained her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and a Masters of Medicine (M.Med)Anesthesia from UKM and she is a Fellow of the Faculty of Anesthetists, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. She has served and helmed various departments with Institut Jantung Negara since 1994. Since 2017, she joined CVSKL as a resident consultant anaesthetist and also serves as the Medical Director.
