Ms Chee Siew Wah

Mrs. Chee Siew Wah has spent her life putting others first. A devoted mother, she learned early on how to endure quietly, never wanting to be a burden to anyone.

In recent months, her days were overshadowed by an irregular heartbeat that left her feeling weak and breathless. Nights were long and restless. Simple tasks became exhausting, and fear crept in with every unfamiliar flutter in her chest.

Though her children stood by her side, Mrs. Chee worried constantly. She no longer had her own income and relied on her children’s contributions to get by. Seeking treatment felt necessary — but the thought of the cost weighed heavily on her heart.

Gathering her strength, Mrs. Chee came to CVSKL Hospital with her family, where she met Dr. Razali Omar, our Consultant Electrophysiologist. With calm reassurance, he explained that a cryoballoon procedure could help restore her heart rhythm and give her back the stability she longed for.

Still, a single question weighed on her heart:
“Will I recover, so my children don’t have to worry anymore?”

Seeing her struggle, the CVSKL Foundation stepped forward. With support made possible by generous donors, the Foundation helped ease the financial burden, allowing Mrs. Chee to receive the treatment she needed — and giving her family renewed hope.

Slowly, fear gave way to relief, not just for Mrs. Chee, but for her children as well.

Today, her home is filled with lighter moments and grateful smiles. Her children are overjoyed to see her regain her strength, her laughter, and her confidence. Shared meals are once again filled with conversation, gentle walks feel possible again, and the worry that once followed them has finally begun to fade.

Mrs. Chee’s journey reminds us that healing extends beyond the patient. When a mother recovers, a family breathes easier. And when compassion meets care, we don’t just restore health — we bring peace, joy, and togetherness back into the lives of those who love her most.
